Temple Beth Sholom in Livingston New Jersey has a spectacular sanctuary. It is spacious with a captivating Ark, where the Torah scrolls are kept. I always try to include environmental portraiture when I shoot bar mitzvah portraits. It is a signature of mine. As you can see, Beth Sholom has no shortage of other areas to make great portraits. This was such a sweet, relaxed boy and he really enjoyed walking around with me as I searched for spots with great light with which to make more formal bar mitzvah portraits of him alone.
