But I will never forget her. Always at the right parties, she turned up at  Sands Light, a Beaux-Arts gem at the tip of Sands Point, Long Island.  Zelda Kaplan photographed by me at a Labor Day party in 2007. She passed away yesterday while sitting in the front row of a New York fashion show.
