You may recognize Benji from the fencing photos we made several months ago in Riverside Park. [click here to see them] Saturday was the big day, and when it was all over Benji celebrated at Capitale on the Bowery. I think he looks so awesome in his tux.
Benji loves fencing. So together with his mom they agreed we would do a portrait of him dressed for fencing as a possible sign in board for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah. I know, he does not look like he will be 13! We went to the brand new southern extension of Riverside Park in NYC. It’s right on the Husdon River, under the West Side Highway. The Sun kept going in and out as Benji went through his “moves,” giving me so much variety. When I shoot for sign in boards I deliberately look to leave lots of negative space for everyone to sign.
